Check out these typographic interpretations of animals by Jeremy Pettis. My favorite is Tiger because of it's primal nature.

Bad boys, bad boys ...

I can't tell you how many times I've seen a sign or logo and cringed at the font or overall design of the thing. Well now you don't have to take it anymore. Use the "Visual Enforcement" kit to make others aware of bad design via the Design Police! You simply print them out on sticker paper and use as necessary.

Colorful Coffee

What a great gift idea! These can be purchased at W2.

Icons: Pac-Man

Pac-Man is such an iconic figure in our culture that it's very easy to find references to him (and Ms.Pac man) out there. Remember the 80's cartoon? I thought it would be fun to look for some random images on Flickr and here they are: Reese's Pac-Man via Lottery Monkey, Hot Chocolate Pac-Man via happyluvsme, Pac-Man Christmas Tree via clipset, Pac-Man Street Art via knautia &  an awesome Pac-Man Tattoo via earthdog.

Chocolate Games

What a great gift idea for the Scrabble lover! Although you may want to purchase more than one to have a legit game going on. You can purchase it here form Mary and Matt. Also check out Foodisart for edible versions of Jenga and Checkers!

Logo Evolution

It's so fascinating to me to see how logos and brand identities change over to years to fit the current time periods. Here are a few examples from Neatorama. In these particular examples, you will also see the actual development of the company name as well.

Great Googly-Moogly!

Here is an interesting short article on how the Google logo came about ...

My City

As a new resident of this great city of Chicago, I thought I would share this great use of typography! It's a neighborhood map of Chicago. The posters are only $22 and can be purchased at OrkPosters.com. They also feature other major cities, including my birthplace of Brooklyn! I just love the playful nature of it.

Lapse in Time

The past month and a half have slipped through my fingers. My move to Chicago required a lot of attention and unfortunately my blog suffered for it. I will make a conscious effort to maintain my blog on a more regular basis.

Stay tuned ...
