Photoshop Makeover: Bootylicious Edition

I crack up everytime I see this video.

The Art of: Otto Dix (German Painter)

From Wikipedia:

Wilhelm Heinrich Otto Dix (December 2, 1891 - July 25, 1969) was a German painter and printmaker. Noted for his ruthless depictions of Weimar society and of the brutality of war, he is one of the most important artists of the Neue Sachlichkeit (New Objectivity).

Clock Typography

I was flipping through the latest Crate & Barrel catalog and this "Numbers Clock" caught my eye. I like the graphic use of numbers as the actual interior of the clock. It's visually appealing!

The Art of: Mark Ryden (Painter)

I stumbled across Mark Ryden a few years ago when I was at a bookstore, perusing some magazines when this one cover caught my eye. I was drawn into it because at first I thought it was "cute" but then upon closer inspection I realized that this was "not for kids". I've been hooked ever since! His artwork is so contradictory, with the cuteness of bunnies and little girls but they are often put in strange situations that usually involve blood and Jesus. LOL! I've chosen a few of my favorites that are shown to the left: Santa Worm (top), Balloon Boy (center), A Dog Named Jesus (bottom left), Inside Sue (bottom right).

Check out typorganism.com. It's a really cool site for all you typography lovers. When you get to the homepage, click on any of the links to the right. My favorite one is ASCII-O-Matic. You can upload any photo and it will transform it into something like what you see above. Really cool!
